Your own delivery channel, and the whole order value with it

The aggregator brought you the customer once and kept them. This is the same delivery, on your own link, with your own riders and no cut taken out of it.

In short

Home delivery here runs on a public ordering link and QR code for each branch. Customers order from your own menu, the delivery fee is quoted from the distance to the pin they place, your own riders take it out, and payment is collected at the door by UPI — which reaches you directly — or in cash against a photograph. No commission is taken from the order at any point.

  • A public link and QR per branch
  • Delivery fees that scale with distance
  • Your own riders, on a roster
  • Doorstep UPI or cash, reconciled daily

What the commission actually costs you

An aggregator's cut is charged on the part of the order you already paid for — the food, the packaging, the labour. It is also charged on the repeat order from a customer who found you eighteen months ago, and on the one who lives four hundred metres away and would have walked in.

Running your own channel does not replace an aggregator's reach. What it does is give you somewhere to send the customers you already have — the ones who saved your number, follow you on Instagram or read the QR on last week's packaging — at no cut at all.

  • No commission on any order, ever
  • The customer's name, number and order history stay in your account
  • Your own delivery radius and your own fees
  • Coupons and automatic offers you control, not campaigns you are enrolled into

Riders, and the cash they are carrying

The distance between the doorstep and the till is where delivery money goes missing, so the design is deliberately boring. Riders are a roster with a duty state. Each has a wallet that is the arithmetic sum of its entries and never a typed figure. Cash is handed back one delivery at a time, and the day is closed when the wallet is at zero.

A UPI payment at the door never enters that loop at all, because it goes straight from the customer's app to your account.

  • A rider roster with on-duty and off-duty states
  • A UPI QR at the door, or cash — and the rider records which
  • A photograph against a cash payment, destroyed after ten days
  • A wallet per rider, reconciled by handover and closed at the end of the day

Delivery-only, if that is the whole business

A cloud kitchen can switch dine-in and parcel off entirely and use this as a pure delivery system: the public link, the kitchen board, the bills, the rider cash and the reports, with no tables and no QR codes on anything. Tiffin centres tend to run it alongside the credit ledger, so a monthly customer eats all month and settles once.

What it does not do

It does not find you customers. There is no marketplace here, nobody is browsing a list of restaurants and no traffic arrives on its own — the link works because you put it where your customers already are.

It also does not dispatch, route or optimise. Assigning a delivery to a rider is a human decision, made by somebody who knows the area and who is already out.

Home delivery is a capability your restaurant is enabled for, and the settings, riders and cash handling live in their own part of the portal.

From the link to the cash back in the till

01

They order on your link

Your menu, your branding, your web address. Coupons and automatic offers apply here the same way they do at the table, and the total is priced before anything is committed.

02

They say where, exactly

Contact first, then the location, then the address in parts — flat, area, landmark. The pin sets the distance and therefore the fee, and never overwrites what the customer typed.

03

A rider takes it out

Assign it to a rider who is on duty, send it out, and the customer can follow it on a tracking link without ringing the counter to ask.

04

The money comes home

UPI at the door reaches you directly; cash goes into that rider's wallet against a photo, and is handed back delivery by delivery until the day closes at zero.

Questions about this

More general questions — price, commission, data, multiple outlets — are answered here.

How do customers reach my delivery menu?

Each branch gets a public ordering link and a QR code for it. Put the link in your Instagram bio, your WhatsApp status or a printed flyer, and print the QR on the packaging — anybody who opens it lands on your own menu and orders from you directly. There is no marketplace and no listing to be ranked in.

How is the delivery fee worked out?

By distance. The customer places the pin for their address, the system measures it and quotes the fee before they commit, on rates you set. A customer who is further away pays more, which is the arithmetic every restaurant does in its head anyway.

Do you take a commission on delivery orders?

No. Not on delivery, not on dine-in, not on anything. You pay a flat subscription and the whole order value is yours — which is the entire reason for running your own delivery channel instead of renting somebody else's.

How do I know the cash my rider collected came back?

Because it is never a guess. At the door the rider either shows a UPI QR, which pays you directly, or takes cash and attaches a photo as proof. Cash sits in that rider's wallet, which is only ever the sum of its entries rather than a figure somebody typed, and is handed back one delivery at a time until the day closes at zero.

What happens to the payment photos?

They are destroyed after ten days. The proof is useful while a payment might be questioned and a liability afterwards, so a scheduled job deletes them and the record of the payment stays.

Can I run delivery only, with no dine-in at all?

Yes. Dine-in and parcel can be switched off completely, which is how a cloud kitchen uses this — the delivery link, the kitchen board, the bills and the reports, with no tables anywhere in the product.
